The Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) has announced the opening of recruitment for Qatari citizens who wish to join its ranks across a range of security and field specializations. The recruitment drive was officially announced on 2 August 2026 and offers opportunities for eligible nationals to serve in key security roles.
Available Specializations
Successful applicants can join one of the following units:

Counter-Terrorism

Search and Rescue

Environmental Security

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

Be a Qatari citizen

Hold a high school diploma or lower qualification

Be between 18 and 25 years of age

Not be employed by a governmental or semi-governmental entity

Successfully pass the personal interview

Have good conduct and behavior
-
Not have been dismissed from military service for disciplinary reasons

Have no previous convictions involving dishonesty or misconduct
