Maternity and Paternity Leave
Female expat employees are entitled to 50 days of paid maternity leave. This applies before and after delivery.
Qatar also introduced paternity leave. Male employees receive 3 days of paid paternity leave upon the birth of a child.
Your employer cannot terminate a female employee during maternity leave. Doing so is a direct violation of Qatar Labor Law.
