The Summer 2026 expansion represents a strategic rebuilding effort following recent regional airspace disruptions that temporarily reduced the airline's operational capacity. The restoration effort encompasses 26 new destination additions across Africa, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe, bringing the total network to over 160 gateways globally.

According to Qatar Airways operational disclosures, the airline has progressively restored services to more than 60 destinations since March 2026. The Summer 2026 schedule further accelerates this recovery, with strategically timed route launches and frequency increases designed to capture peak travel demand across multiple regions.
