Doha, November 01, 2026 : Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat) has reported that its liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier, Al Mayeda, was struck by unidentified objects while sailing through the Arabian Gulf on the evening of Friday, October 30, 2026.
The company confirmed that no crew members were injured and that the incident caused no environmental impact.
According to a statement published on the Qatar Stock Exchange, the vessel remains safe and operational, while an assessment of the impact is underway.
Nakilat added that it is maintaining direct coordination with the vessel, its crew and relevant maritime security authorities in the region to ensure their safety. The company is also closely monitoring developments surrounding the incident.
