The Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, in partnership with Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) and Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), has successfully concluded its annual âEid Giftâ campaign, initiated by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser. The initiative collected over 60,000 new clothing items and school bags for children and families in Gaza and Syria between March 5 and 20, 2025, with contributions gathered from 18 locations across Qatar.
The campaign saw strong community participation and private sector support. Major donors included Matalan at Place VendĂ´me, contributing 1,750 items, and Apparel Group, which donated 20,000 clothing items valued at QAR 1 million. Local businesses like Ilham Textiles and platforms like Snoonu also supported the cause. Aid shipments reached Syria via Jordan, while those for Gaza await border clearance.
Talal Al Hothal, Director of EAAâs Al Fakhoora Programme, said the campaign reflects Qatarâs deep-rooted commitment to humanitarian aid and dignity. QRCS and QFFD echoed the sentiment, praising community engagement and cross-sector collaboration.
The initiative was further promoted by Elan Mediaâs QAR 175,000 advertising contribution and a âSpend and Winâ campaign at Place VendĂ´me encouraging charitable giving.
With its wide-reaching impact, the campaign highlights Qatarâs ongoing dedication to uplifting vulnerable communities during the Eid season.
