The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) launched yesterday (Islamweb) website in the Indonesian language to be added to the other languages of the website, which are Arabic, English, French, Spanish and German.

The Director of the Department of Advocacy and Religious Guidance Mal Allah Al-Jaber, said that 'Islamweb Languages' is one of the ambitious projects that the Department seeks to achieve, to include all languages, noting that the Islamic Network has conducted a comprehensive survey of the most important global languages, the number of speakers, and the percentage of published items on the Internet, especially those related to Islam and Islamic culture, and services preferred by the speakers of those languages.

He pointed out that the selection of the Indonesian language to be included in (Islamweb) package of languages came after studying, researching and fulfilling the desire of many researchers, as thousands of fatwas, articles, and various scientific and advocacy materials were translated, and work is still underway to translate many of the axes on the pages of the main website into the Indonesian language.

It is worth noting that (Islamweb) is one of the scientific and advocacy projects that are supported and developed by endowment banks in the General Directorate of Endowments.
