2. Conference on Coastal and Maritime Archaeology in Qatar

Mark the International Day for the Protection of Underwater Cultural Heritage with a conference that explores Qatar’s rich coastal and maritime archaeological past. Held in collaboration with Qatar Museums and the UNESCO Regional Office for the Gulf States and Yemen, the event gathers specialists from QM's Archaeology department to share fresh, newer research and also talk about why protection really matters for underwater heritage, and how to keep it in a sustainable management sort of way. It’s open to everyone, and it’s free to attend; it’s a solid option for history buffs, but also for curious minds that want to learn something new.
