Qatar witnesses 90 cases of Covid-19 on September 27, 2021
The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today reported that there are 90 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) and 166 individuals have so far recovered from the virus during the past 24 hours, which brings the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 234,425.
Among the new 90 Covid-19 cases, 56 have been infected from the community and 34 contacted the virus while traveling from abroad.
MOPH reported no deaths in the country today, as the total death toll due to the deadly virus stays at 605.
According to the data, two individuals were admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) over the last 24 hours, and therefore 16 people continue to receive medical attention in ICU.
Two persons were hospitalised due to Covid-19 during the past 24 hours, and the overall number of patients in the hospital currently is 57.
The total number of current active cases in Qatar is 1,358 and the total number of covid positive cases recorded so far in Qatar is 236,388.
6,245 tests were done for the first time in the last 24 hours and a total of 22,533 tests were done during the past 24 hours and the total tests done so far is 2,648,649 tests.
4,250 doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered during the past 24 hours. The overall number of vaccine doses administered since the start of the vaccination campaign is 4,696,753.
81.4% of the total population received a full vaccination with two doses of the vaccine.

As the cases of Covid-19 increases in the State of Qatar, it is significant for all individual to contribute their effective part in curbing the virus by adhering to the mandatory preventive measures imposed by the government:
• Maintaining safe and social distances in the public arenas.
• Avoid close contact in crowded or confined areas where people congregate.
• Wearing a face mask at all times.
• Washing and sanitising hands at regular intervals.
