HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani taking part in the ministerial talks
Qatar took part in the ministerial talks on Afghanistan, held virtually on yesterday. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani represented the State of Qatar at the meeting.
The meeting was attended by US Secretary of State H E Antony Blinken, Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany H E Heiko Maas, and a number of ministers and officials.
The meeting reviewed the latest humanitarian, security and political developments in Afghanistan, the developments of the evacuation operations for the civilians, and the necessary international efforts to ensure the protection of civilians and the preservation of the gains and rights of the Afghan people.
Participants expressed thanks to Qatar for its continuous mediation efforts to achieve stability in Afghanistan.
