The Ministry of Interior (MoI) officials booked 255 individuals in the country for violating preventive and precautionary measures that were enforced in order to curb the further spread of coronavirus (Covid-19). 

Among the booked 255 violators, 237 were booked for not wearing face masks in the public, 16 were booked for not following mandatory social distances in places, one person was found guilty for not installing

Ehteraz application on their mobile phones and one other individual was booked for violating more than the maximum aloowed in the vehicle. 

All of the violated individuals were referred to the public prosecution. 

The measures are in accordance with the Cabinet decision and Decree Law No. 17 of 1990 on infectious diseases, and the precautionary measures imposed in the region to limit the rapid spreading deadly disease.

The competent authorities urged all the citizens and residents to follow all the preventive measures kept in place to make sure their safety and the safety of other individuals in the country are assured.
