DOHA — His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani sent a cable of congratulations to His Excellency President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah El Sisi, on the occasion of his country's National Day.
His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani and His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani also sent similar cables of congratulations to the Egyptian President on the same occasion.

Egypt's National Day

Egypt marks its National Day on July 23 each year, commemorating the anniversary of the 1952 Revolution, a defining moment in the country's modern history. The occasion is traditionally marked by congratulatory messages from leaders across the Arab world and beyond, reflecting Egypt's standing as one of the region's most influential nations.

Strong Qatari-Egyptian Ties

The exchange of greetings reflects the close fraternal relations between Qatar and Egypt, which have continued to strengthen across political, economic, and cultural fields in recent years. The two countries have maintained regular high-level engagement, with cooperation spanning investment, trade, and coordination on key regional issues.

Earlier this month, Egypt's President received the credentials of Qatar's new Ambassador to Cairo, during which the Ambassador conveyed the greetings of HH the Amir to the Egyptian President, along with His Highness's wishes of good health and happiness for His Excellency and continued progress and prosperity for the government and people of Egypt. For his part, the Egyptian President entrusted the Ambassador with conveying his greetings to HH the Amir, wishing His Highness good health and happiness, and the State of Qatar continued progress and prosperity.
