Modern greenhouse vegetable farming in Qatar

FINAL THOUGHTS

When Qatar's government announced that despite environmental challenges such as water scarcity, high temperatures, and soil salinity, Qatar has emerged as a model for sustainable agriculture, combining innovation with resilience, it wasn't hyperbole.

The numbers prove it.

In 2018, Qatar imported 76% of its vegetables. In 2026, it imports just 30%.

That's not incremental progress. That's transformation.

And the best part? It's only the beginning.
