HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met in Washington with HE the Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Programme David Beasley.
Cooperation relations between the State of Qatar and the Food Programme were reviewed during the meeting.
The Executive Director of the World Food Programme thanked the State of Qatar for allocating $100 million in support of the efforts of the World Food Programme in Yemen to ensure food security and avert famine in Yemen, as well as assist the urgent United Nations relief and humanitarian programs to mitigate the exacerbation of the human tragedy there.
