Tobacco seized at Hamad Port
On March 7, 2024, Qatar Customs seized over 7,000 tonnes of banned tobacco concealed within a shipment of water tanks at Hamad Port.
The Customs Department, in coordination with the Anti-Smuggling and Harmful Practices Department Trade, detected the smuggling attempt.
Specialized devices uncovered the hidden tobacco during inspection, totaling 7,150 tonnes.
