The Institute for Population Health (IPH) at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar (WCM-Q) is organizing a symposium to advocate for the emerging field of lifestyle medicine as a highly effective approach to significantly improving health and well-being.

Scheduled for Saturday, February 17, 2024, the one-day event, titled 'Lifestyle Medicine - Redefining Healthcare to Promote Wellbeing,' provides an opportunity to acquire new knowledge about the transformative impact of lifestyle medicine in reshaping healthcare, fostering well-being, and empowering individuals and communities for a healthier future.

The symposium will feature 21 speakers, including experts from WCM-Q, the Ministry of Public Health, the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and the Lifestyle Medicine Global Alliance.

The target audience comprises physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, researchers, educators, public health professionals, dentists, pharmacists, healthcare administrators, and others.
Upon completion, participants will be equipped to discuss the role of lifestyle medicine in redefining healthcare, articulate how it promotes well-being, and analyze the advancements, challenges, and opportunities in lifestyle medicine.

The symposium holds local accreditation from the Ministry of Public Health’s Department of Healthcare Professions, Accreditation Section, and international accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).
