UAE Condemns Israeli Settlers Attacks on Occupied West Bank Villages

ABU DHABI - The United Arab Emirates has expressed its strong condemnation of attacks by Israeli settlers on cities and villages in the occupied West Bank, the latest of which killed and wounded a number of Palestinians in the village of Kafr Malik near Ramallah.

In a statement carried by the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned against continuous assaults by settlers and called on the Israeli government to assume full responsibility, condemn the hostile practices, and hold the perpetrators accountable. The UAE stressed that failure to act would be seen as tacit approval that would only deepen the cycle of hatred, racism, and instability.

The Ministry emphasised the need for concerted efforts to halt the escalation and prevent further loss of life, and underscored the importance of providing full protection to civilians in accordance with international law and treaties. It also called on the international community to fulfil its responsibilities to end ongoing Israeli violations and to avoid further inflaming the situation in the occupied Palestinian territory and the wider region.

According to Reuters, citing the Palestinian health ministry, three Palestinians were killed and seven wounded in the attack, which was carried out by dozens of Israeli settlers. Local accounts said the assailants set fire to Palestinian homes and vehicles in Kafr Malik on June 25 and opened fire on residents who tried to defend their community.

The Ministry reiterated the UAE's support for regional and international efforts to advance the Middle East peace process toward a comprehensive and just settlement, and warned against illegal practices that undermine the two-state solution.
