More than 3,000 healthcare leaders and professionals from Qatar and the rest of the region are anticipated to attend the largest conference in the Arab world devoted to patient safety and healthcare quality improvement.

In Doha, Qatar, from March 16 to 19, the Middle East Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare 2023 will take place. Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), in cooperation with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, is hosting the hybrid event (IHI)

Healthcare Resilience in Extraordinary Times will be the topic of this year's annual conference, which will also focus on improvement science, person-centered care, flow, safety, and value improvement, Leadership, Resilience and Sustainability, and Population Health, according to the HMC.

The Forum's abstract submission deadline has been extended till January 14 due to overwhelming demand, according to a tweet from HMC.

This year's forum will bring together nurses, quality leaders, healthcare administrators, hospital executives, patient and family advisors, and other allied health professionals in person and electronically thanks to an unmatched lineup of worldwide and local experts.

The Middle East Forum on Quality & Safety in Healthcare, according to its organisers, is one of the foremost events in the region where medical professionals may learn about the tools and processes that have been successfully applied at top medical institutions throughout the globe.

The 2023 forum, according to the organisers, will also offer a stimulating and inspiring environment for healthcare professionals to network, learn from one another, and share knowledge with the overall goal of enhancing the quality and safety of treatment for patients and communities.

Professionals in attendance will be able to deepen their understanding of healthcare improvement by hearing from international thought leaders and being inspired by Qatari and other professional speakers.

Additionally, they will have the chance to network with hundreds of other dedicated healthcare professionals from Qatar, the region, and beyond; take part in novel learning formats, such as "field trips," to see how what they have learned is put into practise in the real world; and collaborate with other healthcare leaders and practitioners to discuss how to jointly improve outcomes for patients and communities relevant to the Arab world and beyond.

In addition, the participants will learn about real, workable, evidence-based solutions to implement in the workplace and gain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credit hours from the Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP), which has authorized the course.
