9th Made In Qatar Exhibition To Kick Off on 29 November

Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir, the ninth edition of the 'Made in Qatar' exhibition will commence on Wednesday, November 29th, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC), featuring the participation of 450 companies and factories.

This four-day exhibition, organized by the Qatar Chamber in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MOCI), is supported by various sponsoring companies and institutions.

According to statements made by HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Chamber, all preparations for the event have been finalized. He emphasized that hosting the exhibition under the patronage of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani is a matter of great pride for the Qatari private sector.

Additionally, he emphasized the extensive involvement of domestic companies, underscoring the exhibition's vital contribution to bolstering the local industry and showcasing domestically made goods.

Sheikh Khalifa emphasized that the substantial participation signifies the strong commitment of both the public and private sectors towards advancing the industrial sector and realizing desired industrial advancements.

He observed that the Qatari industry has experienced significant expansion in recent years, witnessing the growth of existing factories' production capacities and the establishment of new manufacturing facilities.

During the current year, a total of 96 new factories have been established, increasing the overall count to 930, compared to 834 factories in 2022. Sheikh Khalifa emphasized a 12 percent growth in the number of industrial facilities, both existing and licensed, rising from 1,264 in 2022 to 1,411 this year.

Sheikh Khalifa highlighted the exhibition's diverse industries across six sectors, encompassing petrochemicals, furniture, foodstuffs, SMEs, services, and others.
Addressing the exhibition's objectives, the QC Chairman emphasized its primary aim to offer visitors insights into the latest industrial products and services. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with industry experts and investors, familiarize themselves with successful local companies, and explore their potential for business development.

Additionally, HE mentioned that the accompanying events of the expo will feature a main panel session discussing the future of Qatar's industry.
Furthermore, multiple seminars will delve into different topics, including the Tawteen Program, a national initiative fostering investment prospects within the energy sector. Discussions will encompass themes such as government procurement and entrepreneurial support.
