Tarshid Educational Publications (Tarsheed), based in Doha, has released the second edition of the book Professional Practices for Teachers: Between Theory and Practice, coinciding with the start of the new school year.
Authored by Dr. Rola Qubaisi, Dr. Aziz Rasmi and Youssef Emhal, the publication focuses on practical and professional approaches that can help educators strengthen their work inside classrooms and across the wider school environment.
The book is organised around four main areas: teachersโ professional development and the relationship between reflection and practice; classroom professional practices and key educational concepts; the development of classroom and school environments; and the use of technology in education.
According to Qatar News Agency, the publication places particular emphasis on linking theory with day-to-day educational practice. Its aim is to support teachers in developing a broader understanding of education while translating core pedagogical concepts into practical approaches that can be applied in schools.
The book also highlights the importance of professional growth in improving school performance and effectiveness. It promotes educational environments that are safe, tolerant and inclusive, while supporting teachers and other education professionals in strengthening theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
By bringing together major teaching concepts and applied educational practices, the publication seeks to help educators view learning from multiple perspectives while supporting stronger student achievement and well-being.
The book was shortlisted in the Education and Teaching category of the inaugural Sheikh Yusuf bin Isa Book Prize for 2025-2026 in Kuwait, highlighting its contribution to advancing educational and professional practices for teachers.
