The Ministry of Education and Higher Education decided to ease some precautionary measures in schools and kindergartens related to combating COVID-19 as of Sunday, March 20.

The Ministry's decision includes allowing students from 12 years old and under not to wear a mask in all public and private schools and kindergartens, while allowing those who wish to wear it to continue to do so. Unvaccinated and non-recovering students continue to conduct a rapid antigen tests at home according to the established measures.

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education said that this decision comes within the framework of its keenness to provide a safe school environment, in line with developments and decisions to ease some precautionary measures in the country.

The Ministry called on its students to continue to abide by all other precautionary measures, stressing its full concern for their safety and its commitment to the continuation of the educational process to accommodate to all circumstances and developments. (QNA)
