Stopping war on Gaza key to easing Red Sea tensions: MoFA Spokesperson

Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari, the Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasized the importance of halting the Israeli war on Gaza to prevent its regional escalation. He stated that addressing the Red Sea issue requires a political resolution tied to the cessation of hostilities in Gaza.

Al Ansari urged the international community to exert pressure on ending the conflict to avoid further humanitarian crises and regional tensions. He dismissed false reports about proposing the removal of Hamas leaders from Gaza, highlighting ongoing Qatari mediation efforts.

Despite logistical challenges, Qatar aims to provide aid to Gaza and has facilitated evacuations, while also supporting mediation in Sudan, expressing concern about the suffering of the Sudanese people.
