The captain of the South Korean national team and the Tottenham Hotspur striker Son Heung-min considered Tuesday that the crowded match schedule during the local and European championships will not affect the levels of the players participating with their teams qualified for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, scheduled for Nov. 20 to Dec. 18.

"Traveling to matches and spending time away from home may be difficult, but it is part of a professional player's life, even if the schedule is crowded and difficult," the Korean star said.

The administration of the local championships and UEFA are trying to hold a large number of matches before the start of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which will be held for the first time in the winter.

Son Heung-min will lead the South Korean team in the World Cup in Qatar, where his country plays in Group H with Uruguay, Portugal, and Ghana.
