Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs

The Department of Religious Call and Guidance, under the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, has announced the commencement of registration for the 'Principles of Sharia Science' programme.

This initiative is part of the consolidation and academic achievement programs and involves the study of various explanations of scientific texts to enhance individual knowledge in multiple branches of Islamic Sharia sciences.

The courses will take place in three scientific centers located in Al Rayyan, Al Wakrah, and Al Khor. The programme is scheduled to run from January 7 to March 3, 2024, on three evenings a week: Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

The programme focuses on teaching the fundamentals of Sharia sciences in person across different regions of the country, facilitating accessibility for students of Sharia sciences and individuals eager to learn about jurisprudence in their religion.

The sessions will be hosted at three mosques: Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad Al Abdul Rahman Al Thani Mosque (1234) in Al-Rayyan, Qanbar Al Ansari Mosque (1209) in Al Wakra, and Abdul Latif Muhammad Al Misnad Al Muhannadi Mosque (1181) in Al Khor.

At the Al Rayyan mosque, Sheikh Muhammad Mahmoud Al Mahmoud will provide explanations on the book Bedayat Al Abid W Kefayat Al Zahid in jurisprudence every Sunday.

On Mondays, Sheikh Dr. Salman Khidr Al Atwi will cover the topic of Hadith from the book Al Manzomat Al Bayquniyah. Sheikh Yahya bin Butti Al Nuaimi will discuss the honorable biography of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through the book Al Arjouza Al Mi’iyya every Tuesday after Maghrib prayer.

Participants who attend at least 75% of the total scheduled hours at each center will receive a certificate of participation, serving as a foundation for pursuing Islamic knowledge.
