Qatar and 15 Arab, Islamic nations condemn Israeli envoy to Somaliland
Qatar, together with 15 Arab and Islamic countries, has issued a strong condemnation of Israelâs decision to appoint a diplomatic envoy to Somaliland, describing the move as a blatant violation of Somaliaâs sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
In a joint statement released by Qatarâs Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the foreign ministers reaffirmed their categorical rejection of unilateral actions that undermine state sovereignty. They emphasized unwavering support for Somaliaâs federal government and legitimate institutions as the sole representatives of the Somali people.
The communiquĂ© stressed that Israelâs step contravenes international law, the United Nations Charter, and the Constitutive Act of the African Union. The ministers warned that such actions set a dangerous precedent, threatening stability in the Horn of Africa and jeopardizing broader regional peace and security.
The declaration underscores a unified stance among Arab and Islamic nations in defending Somaliaâs sovereignty and rejecting external interference in its internal affairs.
