A Boeing 777-200F cargo plane belonging to Qatar Airways was involved in an accident at Chicago Airport in the United States of America last Friday.
The Qatar Airways plane crashed into a light pole inside the airport, causing extensive damage to the wing when landing on runway 10C.
As a result, four pilots have allegedly been sacked, according to reports.
โQatar Airways can confirm that a cargo aircraft, QR8141 operating from Atlanta to Chicago, came into contact with a light post while taxiing at Chicago OโHare and sustained some damage to the wing,โ a spokesperson from the national carrier said.
โThe incident is currently under investigation and we can confirm that no crew members were injured.โ
