The State of Qatar was able to add more than 5,000 poems to the praise of the Prophet's blog of eloquent and Nabati poetry through Katara Prize for the Prophets poet.

Apart from the recipients of the Katara Prize for the Prophets Poet, the award was presented to the Prophets Praise Blog since it has been launched in its first session in 2016 until the announcement of the 6th session recently, 5181 poems in eloquent poetry and Nabati poetry, and 755 poems, including 630 poems in eloquent poetry, 125 poems in Nabati poetry.

While in the third session, it collected 942 poems from all over the Arab world, including 853 in eloquent and 89 in Nabatean poetry. The fourth session witnessed an increase in the number of participants reaching about 1158, including 1082 poems in eloquent poetry, and 76 poems in Nabati poetry, to rise to the award in its fifth session and harvest 1498 poems from Arab poets, including 1358 in eloquent poetry and 140 poems from Nabati poetry.

Katara Prize for the Prophets poet, may Allah prayers and peace be upon him, has worked to revive and renew the poetry of the Prophets praise, that poetry that focuses on praising the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) by enumerating his moral and ethical qualities, mentioning his material and moral miracles, organizing his biography in poetry, praising his ideal qualities and praying for him in appreciation and glorification.

"This is the largest award in the Arab world in this field. More than 5,000 poems were presented to the Arab Library, and the selection of the best 30 poems in each session to be printed in a special diwan, which shows that Katara is the most important party that has collected and innovated with poets in creating poetic voices. They create poetry in praise of the Prophet, peace be upon him, whether eloquent or Nabati, which represents an important addition to the Diwan of Prophetic Praise." General Manager of Katara Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), Dr. Khalid Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti said in an exclusive statement to (QNA).

He noted that the poems that did not qualify for the award will be an important addition and the participating poet will have an opportunity to develop tools to participate again, which is translated by its slogan, which has deep connotations, beautify poetry with the noblest human.

The Moroccan critic Dr. Jamil Hamdaoui pointed out that Imam Al-Busairi was opposed by many poets whether those who contemporaneously with him or who those came after him, including Abdullah Al-Hamawi, who lived in the ninth century AH and was famous for his mimetic, and one of the most important Moroccan poets, Malik bin Al-Marhal Al-Sabti of the poets of the seventh century AH, as in his famous meme since ancient times, Moroccan poets have been interested in the so-called birthday poems, which are concerned with the birth and celebration of the Noble Prophet, pointing out that one of the most famous of Al-Busairi's opponents in the modern era is the Prince of Poets Ahmed Shawqi in the poem "Nahj Al-Burda", noting that the poetry of prophetic praise is characterized by sincerity, feelings, the nobility of feelings, the tenderness of conscience, and the love of the Messenger Mohamad (May God (Allah) bless him and grant him peace) hoping for his intercession on the Day of Judgment.

He explained that the Katara Prize for the Prophet's Poet, which he was presented two times, has contributed to reviving the poetry of praise of the Prophet, as many poets in the Arab countries are competed in it, stressing that Katara Cultural Village, through this award, was able to represent an impenetrable wall against the smear campaigns launched by him.

The critic Dr. Ahmed Darwish, Professor of Rhetoric and Criticism at Cairo University, confirmed in a statement to QNA that the award worked on reviving the poetry of praise of the Prophet, especially in eloquent poetry, where nearly a thousand poets participate annually in the award. This award creates a great movement and a historical impact on the level of Arabic poetry in general and the poetry of the Prophets praise in particular, after the movement of the great islands that classical poetry experienced in the late twentieth century and the turn to the prose poem and weightlessness, the award contributed to the rush towards eloquent poetry remarkably, and if the honor of the topic is added to it, which is the praise of the Prophet, it makes a historical impact in poetry.
