The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Thani announced high directives by His highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to make sure the retired citizens gets a decent life by increasing their minimum pension to QR 15,000.
In a comprehensive dialogue with the editors, HE said that “the new retirement law is in the final stages of preparation and will be issued soon after being referred to the Shura Council for discussion.”
Prime Minister highlighted that the law to be passed will include a lot of articles that are in the interest of the retired citizen, and that there are amendments to the law, in addition to the housing allowances and to amend the provision of “advances”, to ensure that all Qatari citizens gets a decent life with the pension they receive.
