First day of Eid Al Fitr 2023 in Qatar on Friday

The Crescent Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has announced that Friday will be the first day of Eid Al Fitr.

This came in a statement from the committee after concluding its meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, chaired by Sheikh DrThuqail Al Shammari.The committee said that the crescent was sighted tonight, and as a result announced that tomorrow, Friday, April 21, will be the first day of Eid Al Fitr.

The committee also offered its greetings to His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, the wise government, the Qatari people, and all Muslims on the occasion.
