The first batch of 10,000 mobile homes pledged by Qatar for earthquake-hit regions in Turkey has reached the country.
According to photos being released online, the container homes offer comfortable living space, with the interiors resembling a hotel room and featuring, twin beds and some furniture.
An air corridor had been established between Qatar and Turkey in hours following the disaster. A search and rescue unit trained in international missions from Qatar’s Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) has also been dispatched to Turkey along with a field hospital, tents and winter supplies.
