Khalifa International Stadium will host the Final match of the 50th edition of the Amir Cup

At a press conference held at Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, Ali Al Salat, Vice-Chairman of the Marketing and Communications Committee, and Sheikh Ahmed Al-Thani, facility in-charge at the Khalifa International Stadium, discussed the details of this year's Amir Cup, taking place on Saturday, March 18th, 2022.

According to Mr. Ali Al Salat, tickets are available for sale in two categories, for 50 and 10 riyals each and can be reserved via the tickets page of QFA's website.

Al Salat also highlighted that there will be a capacity limit of 75% for this year's game. To attend, fans will either need to have been fully vaccinated, or they must have recovered from the disease within nine months, i.e. after July 17, 2021.

As for age limit, the Amir Cup final is also open to kids under the age of 5, but their parents must have them do a rapid COVID-19 test performed at an approved health center a day before, so that they enter the stadium on the match day, and show the negative results before entering the stadium.

The organizing committee of the Amir Cup final urged fans to buy tickets early rather than wait until the last minute, and invited them to enjoy the atmosphere of the game, as well as follow the latest news and updates via the official website.

Al Salat stated that “All other details related to the final will be announced on March 16 in a press conference attended by all media”.

This year marks the 50th edition of the Amir Cup.

Semi-Finals

On March 14, the Semi-Finals of the Amir Cup will be played at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.

Al Gharafa will meet Al Wakrah in the first semi-final, and Al Sadd will face Al Duhail in the second semi-final.

Sheikh Ahmed Al-Thani, facility in-charge at the Khalifa International Stadium, said the following “The teams that have qualified for the semi-finals deserved to reach this stage, and we wish them success in reaching the final, in which everyone will be a winner, with the honor of meeting His Highness the Amir.”

Fans will be able to reach their seats in a streamlined manner, ensuring the highest levels of organization and comfort." He said.
