Qatar Football Association (QFA) officials participate in the delivery of FIFA World Cup 2026™

The Qatar Football Association (QFA) is involved in the delivery of FIFA World Cup 2026™, with many staff members running match operations as part of an SC-FIFA knowledge and experience transfer programme.

Held with the previous success of hosting FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and several other major international tournaments, organisational knowledge was gained through such ventures that helped to structure the programme.

Operative positions for QFA are implemented in some stadiums that focus on match operations and coordination with the other teams involved, providing expert support to ensure FIFA standards.

Abdulla Mohammed Jassim Al Ishaq

Match Director
New York New Jersey Stadium

One such individual is Abdulla Mohammed Jassim Al Ishaq, serving as Deputy Match Director at New York New Jersey Stadium wherein he will be managing operational activities and working on stadium preparation in accordance with FIFA requirements. His responsibilities include team arrival of teams and conducting pre-match coordination meetings, liaison with participating teams and other operational bodies, follow-up on pre-match ceremonies; pitch management; dressing rooms and match officials facility readiness.

Ali Hamoud Al Nuaimi 

Match Commissioner 
Houston Stadium

As Match Commissioner, Ali Hamoud Al Nuaimi is at Houston Stadium to oversee all the organizational aspects of the match as well as monitoring proceedings and ensuring that both teams comply with tournament regulations and FIFA requirements. He is also the one who takes note of events pertaining to the match and serves as an official report for the match.

Abdulla Al Ansari

Working in Houston Stadium as Match Coordinator, Abdulla Al Ansari played a vital role in coordinating between the teams and tournament management by moderating short coordination meetings to finalize the condition of various facilities assisting with their schedules from their arrival at the stadium up until they leave after finishing their duties.

Ahmed Al Sayed 

Match Coordinator 
Miami Stadium

Ahmed Al Sayed Match Coordinator, Miami Stadium (creating logistics for teams, making sure all tournament regulations are followed) Other duties include reviewing and approving the lists of players and technical staff, overseeing team schedules and liaising with match officials, the match commissioner as well as media, security and anti-doping personnel.

Participation also indicates the increasing belief and trust in Qatari professionals on an international scale, and that Qatar continues to produce talent through experience garnered from hosting big ticket events on a global stage.
