High-level officials from the United States met with a delegation from the caretaker government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for 2 days in Doha, Qatar
Political, security and humanitarian issues were discussed during the meeting, including issues related to freedom of movement, human rights, good governance, combating terrorism, not allowing the use of Afghan territory to threaten other countries and emphasizing the importance of commitment to the implementation of the Doha Agreement, which was signed on Feb. 29, 2020.
The meeting concluded with positive and constructive outcomes. The two sides agreed on the importance of continuing communication during the coming period.
