The Ministry of Interior stressed its commitment to communication with different communities of the state on different occasions, as part of enhancing community partnership, security, and social and cultural integration.

This came during a ceremony held by the ministry to honor heads of the Arab and foreign communities as part of celebrating the Qatar Human Rights Day (Nov. 11) and the International Day of Tolerance (Nov. 16).

Assistant Director of Human Rights Department at the Ministry of Interior Colonel Saad Salem Al Dosari said that the ministry is committed to participate in these events, as part of its responsibility of protecting human rights in its security and services roles.

He added that this role played by the Ministry of Interior required communication with the communities, and the establishment of an organizational framework represented by the communities communication office in the Public Relations Department, in addition to other measures taken by the ministry's different departments.

He noted that the main objectives of communication with the communities are to enhance awareness of their rights and obligations under the law, the legislative tools of the Ministry of Interior, and to emphasize their clear role in construction and development. He also stressed that one of the goals of communication is to show respect for the different communities respective cultural identity, their freedom of worship, highlighting the respect of people of all communities in the state have for Qatar's values and heritage. He highlighted the Ministry's commitment to stand on the needs and problems of the different communities with regards to their relationship with the ministry, and to work on overcoming and solving those issues in a bid to establish a strong partnership in maintaining security.
