Sports analysts confirmed the consensus of the regional and international sports community on the State of Qatar's excellence in organizing sporting event, stressing that the 18th AFC Asian Cup, which will kick off on Friday, will be no less distinguished than organizing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and other sports tournaments previously hosted by Doha.

They considered the preparations of the tournament to be an actual translation of the meaning of legacy and sustainability that its officials have been talking about before the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

They added that the legacy of the 2022 World Cup is evident across several levels, the first of which is the readiness of the stadiums on which the matches of the last edition of the World Cup were held, and even crossed the Qatari borders to reach the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which in turn was named the host of the 2034 World Cup, which is a source of pride for all Arab countries.

All that in addition to good organization, providing a high-quality and advanced transportation system, and ensuring security and safety.

In this context, Executive Director of the Asian Sports Journalism Federation Bashir Sinan said in remarks that Doha has become well-versed in the art of hosting and organizing major sporting events.

Doha has previously hosted major global and continental championships in various sports, and has proven to the world its competence in organizing such events in a controlled and flawless manner. He stressed that the Asian Cup gains its advantage this time from the participation of several teams that performed well during the last edition of FIFA World Cup.

Iraqi journalist Faraj Matloub highlighted that the Asian fans are eagerly anticipating the opening ceremony of the Asian Cup, which is only a few hours away, adding that the fans are eager to know what the opening ceremony will look like, especially after the tournament's organizing committee had announced a surprise awaiting the public and all those following this continental tournament. He expected large spectator turnover in the matches of this tournament.

Hassan Ibrahim, sports analyst at Abu Dhabi Sports TV Channels, said that the AFC Asian Cup is a major event that comes after the World Cup in terms of importance. He stressed that the Asian Cup represents a major challenge for the Gulf teams, and their fans are awaiting the results.

In the same context, Zubair Bayya, the former Tunisian international footballer and current analyst on Abu Dhabi Sports Channels, said that the potential of the Asian Cup exceeds its counterpart in the African Cup, based on many facts, primarily the fact that it is being held in Qatar, which hosted the FIFA World Cup 2022, which had a very great impact in terms of organization and atmosphere.

In turn, Saudi journalist Saad Al Subaie noted that the atmosphere of the Asian Cup is looming on the horizon a day before the start of the opening match scheduled for tomorrow (Friday), explaining that the Musheireb area, Souq Waqif and other tourist areas in Doha are currently crowded with Gulf, Arab and Asian fans who came to Doha to support their national teams.

Former Qatari national team player Mohamed Mubarak commented saying that the atmosphere in the sports street in Qatar before the start of the Asian Cup is a continuation of the wonderful atmosphere that fans witnessed during the 2022 World Cup. He pointed out that fans will have the opportunity to enjoy tourist areas in Doha, and will also have the opportunity to support their teams.

Relatedly, Executive Director of the Media and Marketing of the Asian Championship Hassan Al Kuwari, stressed that Qatar promises its guests a special tournament and a unique experience, similar to that enjoyed by fans during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Regarding the success of the tournament, Ali Mijbil Fatros, the former Iraqi player, highlighted that all the tournaments organized by Qatar, from the 2011 Asian Cup to the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar, were very successful, which brings high the expectations for a continental tournament that is unique and exceptional at all levels.
