Qatar's Administrative Delegation Receives Residence of Sports Mission in Tokyo Olympic Village By A Robin Rajkumar - July 18, 2021

Qatar's administrative delegation received the residence of the Qatari sports and administrative missions in the Olympic Village, which hosts all the delegations of the countries of the world participating in the 32nd Summer Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020) to be staged from July 23 to August 8.

Team Qatar's Chef de Mission for Tokyo 2020 Olympics Mohammed Saeed Al Misnad said that the residence of all sports missions has been received and all the necessary needs for the Qatari teams have been prepared.

"We are keen to provide our teams and athletes with all possible means of support during their participation in the games. The pre-coordination between Qatar's administrative delegation and the organizing committee of Tokyo 2020 Olympics began a long time ago to ensure the safety of participating athletes, especially in light of the current circumstances as a result of COVID-19 pandemic" said Al Misnad.

Al Misnad thanked the organizing committee of games for their cooperation with all the Participating delegations and wished all success for Team Qatar athletes.

Meanwhile, Qatari shooter Mohamed Al Rumaihi and Tala Abujbara arrived in Tokyo today to participate in Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games to be staged from July 23 to August 8.

Al Rumaihi will participate in men's trap event while Tala Abujbara will represent Qatar in women's single sculls event.

Qatar's beach volleyball duo of Ahmed Tijan and Cherif Younousse will arrive in Tokyo tomorrow ahead of their participation in the games. (QNA)
