Qatari innovator, Mohammed Ahmed Al-Qassabi, made a remarkable impact at the Seoul International Invention Fair 2023, which took place from November 1st to November 4th. Al-Qassabi clinched four prestigious awards during the exhibition, including the coveted gold medal at the Seoul International Invention Fair 2023. His invention was also recognized with a special accolade from the Patent Information Institute in South Korea and another for innovation from Singapore. Additionally, he was honored with a shield from the Patent Office in the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council for his innovative creation, the OPAS intrusion trap system.
Al-Qassabi was part of the team representing the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which hosted inventors from GCC countries. This platform serves to support, encourage, market their inventions, and highlight the collaborative efforts of GCC nations in fostering innovation.
Mohammed Ahmed Al-Qassabi highlighted the significance of his achievement, having secured four awards at the Seoul International Invention Exhibition, considering it a remarkable accomplishment given the participation of over a thousand inventors from more than 25 countries. This marks his debut in exhibitions of such global scale, uniting inventors from diverse corners of the world.
It's worth noting that the selection of inventors representing Gulf Cooperation Council nations in this international exhibition involves a meticulous process, where a panel of expert arbiters from the Patent Office identifies and chooses the most exceptional inventions among the submissions.
