Qatari Hajj Mission Confirms to Provide Best Services to Qatar's Pilgrims

The Head of Control and Inspection Unit of the Qatari Hajj Mission, Mohamed Abdullah Al-Hay, confirmed the completion of preparations for the Hajj season, noting the integration of the units role with the units supporting the Hajj mission in order to provide the best services to the pilgrims of the State of Qatar.

He said in an interview with Qatar News Agency (QNA), that the Unit has a major role in serving the pilgrims of the State of Qatar, as it begins its work before the contractor obtains the license to run a pilgrimage campaign, where the campaign offices are considered and accepted or not, according to the requirements of Department of Hajj and Umrah Affairs at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.

He added that the unit visits campaign offices and confirms them by concluding contracts with applicants to perform the Hajj and the campaigns fulfilling the conditions, such as transportation, food, housing, etc., and then the data of pilgrims is checked through the system and electronic path at the Department of Hajj and Umrah Affairs and approved until the Hajj permit is issued.

Regarding the readiness of the pilgrims housing and their fulfillment of the conditions and specifications, he said that the work team at the Unit travels early to Mecca to monitor the homes of the pilgrims provided by the campaigns approved for running and to ensure that they meet the conditions and specifications and their readiness to receive the pilgrims, before their arrival in an appropriate period, and work continues after the arrival of the pilgrims, where there will be several visits to ensure that the campaign provides all services that contribute to their comfort and ensure that there are no obstacles.

On the units work plan since the arrival of the first pilgrims, he indicated that the work of the unit continues intensively since the pilgrims presence in the Holy Land on the fourth of Dhu al-Hijjah until the completion of the rituals and their departure to the homeland, pointing out that the unit includes several integrated divisions. The units work continues in the holy sites, starting from the day of Tarwiyah in Mina camps, where there are inspection campaigns to ensure the safety of nutrition and the availability of good atmosphere and services for pilgrims and their comfort, and the absence of additional pilgrims without a permit and that the camp meets all requirements.

With regard to the availability of security, safety and healthy food requirements for pilgrims and their numbers in the rooms, he said that all campaigns rent hotels and buildings that comply with security and safety standards and are approved by the Saudi authorities. The unit is keen to ensure that all requirements and specifications are met during the presence of pilgrims in their residence in hotels in Mecca, and to ensure the safety and quality of food provided to pilgrims, the appropriate spaces in the rooms, the number of pilgrims supposed to be in each room, as well as the quality of air conditioning, services and other requirements that each pilgrim needs.

Regarding cooperation and coordination with the Qatari campaigns to ensure the integration of work and the provision of distinguished services to pilgrims, he stressed that there is close cooperation and fruitful coordination with the campaigns, as there is no successful work without cooperation, and there is a clear response if there are any observations on the necessary requirements, and the unit is also working to develop campaigns performance and provide excellent service.

He said: "Our goal in all of the Qatari Hajj mission and all campaigns is to provide the best services to the pilgrims of the House of God from the people of Qatar".

On the supervisory and inspection role of the unit and the penalties imposed by the Department of Hajj and Umrah Affairs on violators, he noted that there are penalties, where violations are submitted to the administration and then referred to the legal affairs, and the penalty is according to the violation.

He explained that there is communication with pilgrims and that any complaints of pilgrims are interacted and dealt with to resolve them quickly, as the pilgrim's complaint is received either by contacting through the communication unit or the complaint is received in presence of the mission headquarters.

He urged all campaigns to cooperate and abide by the recommendations of the Department of Hajj and Umrah Affairs and to take all recommendations into consideration to ensure a successful Hajj season for this year 1443 AH. He also urged pilgrims to adhere to the instructions recommended by the campaign and not to violate them, noting that it serves the pilgrims and ensures their safety and security.

He recommended that all pilgrims communicate with the campaign if there is any need for that, asking God Almighty to make it an easy pilgrimage, and for all the pilgrims of Qatar to return to the homeland after performing the obligatory prayer correctly while they are in health, wellness, security and safety.
