An extraordinary ministerial meeting of GCC tourism ministers, held via video conference on 7 April 2026, to discuss the latest developments in the region and their potential impact on travel and tourism across member states.

The ministers stressed that the GCC tourism sector is still functioning as it should, backed by advanced infrastructure and high operational efficiency along with an integrated ecosystem which guarantees continuity and stability.

They also stressed the GCC destinations' commitment to delivering safe, high-quality tourism experiences and highlighted the sector’s preparedness to manage current developments while continuing growth.
