In implementation of the instructions of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and in a continuation of the State of Qatar's role and responsibilities towards its brethren in Lebanon, a Qatari plane carrying 100 tons plus of humanitarian aid to benefit tens of thousands affected heads to Lebanon via Qatar Airways.
The aid consists of medical supplies, medicines and emergency first aid kits provided by the Ministry of Public Health and the Qatar Fund for Development, in cooperation with Qatar International Search and Rescue Group (Lekhwiya Internal Security Force).
The initiative targets some hospitals in various Lebanese regions to support the health sector and strengthen the humanitarian response efforts amid current circumstances, as well as contribute to reducing displacement consequences resulting from recent developments.
This aid is part of Qatar's continuous endeavor to provide medical and humanitarian assistance, as well as to strengthen the readiness of health facilities in order for them to provide required care during emergency situations.
