Qatar Ranks 1st Regionally in 2026 Resilient Food Systems Index
Qatar has secured first place regionally in the 2026 Resilient Food Systems Index, published by Economist Impact, underscoring the country’s leadership in food resilience and sustainability.
The achievement is a direct outcome of the National Food Security Strategy 2030, which is built on structural strength, advanced logistics, effective monitoring systems, and high food safety standards. The strategy also emphasizes proactive policy, enabling policymakers and investors to identify vulnerabilities in supply chains and take early action, while supporting long‑term economic growth under the Third National Development Strategy.
By placing among the global top 20, Qatar demonstrates its readiness to sustain secure food systems and navigate crises driven by climate, economic, or geopolitical pressures. Officials highlighted that the ranking reflects Qatar’s commitment to availability, affordability, and quality, reinforcing its position as a regional leader and a global benchmark in food resilience.
