HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al‑Thani, Qatar Prime Minister
His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim AlāThani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, held a telephone conversation with His Excellency Dr. Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The call focused on the latest developments in the ongoing escalation and its serious repercussions for regional security and stability. Sheikh Mohammed conveyed Qatarās firm condemnation of Iranās continued targeting of Qatar and neighboring states, stressing that such actions against countries that have distanced themselves from the conflict amount to reckless tampering with regional security and disregard for stability.
His Excellency underscored that the targeting of civilian infrastructure and essential resources, whether water, food, or energy facilities, is unacceptable under any circumstances. He emphasized that such conduct must be rejected by all parties and urged adherence to international law to spare populations from the consequences of conflict.
The Prime Minister reiterated that diplomacy remains the only viable path forward. He called for a comprehensive and lasting political solution that ensures security, stability, and shields the region from further escalation.
