Sheikh Mohammed stressed that all parties need to commit to dialogue and diplomacy, and to follow through on the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran, including guaranteeing freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz to protect regional security. He reaffirmed Qatar's full backing for efforts to defuse tensions and reach a lasting, comprehensive peace agreement in the region.
