Qatar Meteorology Department Issues Marine Warning for Strong Winds and High Waves
The Qatar Meteorology Department, under the Civil Aviation Authority, has issued a marine warning effective from Wednesday, April 29, 2026, cautioning against strong winds and high waves offshore. The advisory is expected to remain in force through the weekend.
According to forecasts, wave heights will range between 3–6 feet, occasionally reaching up to 8 feet, accompanied by rough sea conditions. Authorities have urged the public to avoid marine activities during the warning period to ensure safety.
The department emphasized that the advisory is part of its ongoing efforts to safeguard lives and property, noting that conditions will be closely monitored and updates provided as necessary.
