Qatar Condemns Renewed Iranian Attacks on Neighboring Countries

The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the renewed attacks launched by the Islamic Republic of Iran against the territories of Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait.

Qatar Calls Attacks a Violation of Sovereignty

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attacks as a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the targeted countries.

The ministry also said the attacks represent a blatant breach of international law, the United Nations Charter and the principles of good neighborliness.

Qatar Warns of Dangerous Regional Escalation

Qatar warned that the continued attacks represent a dangerous escalation that could further complicate efforts to reduce tensions in the region.

According to the ministry, the developments could also undermine diplomatic and political initiatives aimed at restoring security and stability across the region.

Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs held Iran fully and legally responsible for the attacks.

Qatar Reaffirms Solidarity With Neighboring Countries

Qatar reaffirmed its full solidarity with Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait, expressing support for all legitimate measures taken by the three countries to protect their sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.

Qatar Calls for Immediate End to Military Actions

The ministry called for an immediate and complete halt to all military actions and attacks threatening regional security and stability.

It also urged all sides to avoid actions that could widen the conflict and called for a return to dialogue and negotiations.

Qatar further stressed the importance of respecting understandings reached through diplomatic efforts as a way to support de-escalation and promote regional peace and stability.
