OCA President Attends Part of Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games Competitions

President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and President of Qatar Olympic Committee, HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, attended part of the competitions of the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, currently being held in Italy until February 22, with the participation of elite athletes from around the world.

The visit comes as part of His Excellency's follow-up on the course of the global Olympic event and his review of the organizational and technical aspects related to the hosting of Olympic Games, which witness wide participation from national Olympic committees and international sports federations.

During the visit, His Excellency also met with members of the Qatari security force affiliated with the security committee, participating in securing the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, within the framework of cooperation between the Qatari and Italian sides to enhance security readiness, exchange expertise in the organization of major sporting events, and ensure the highest levels of safety throughout this edition of the Games.
