Cebu Pacific issued a Public Advisory warning against online travel agents like Skiddoo and Traveloka, saying these are unauthorized to do the bookings. The airline urged the customers “to take extra precautions and verify flight details and other ancillary services directly” in case bookings were made through these OTAs.

The OTAs have no permission to transact on behalf of the airline and flight bookings or reservations made through them may not reflect in the airline's system, the Philippine low cost carrier noted. The requests for ancillary services such as meals, seat selection and baggage allowance may experience the same fate, it added.

More importantly, since these OTAs are not linked with the systems of Cebu Pacific, airline won't be able to get the contact details. This will affect the customer service in case of emergencies, the airline said.

The airline requested travelers to use its various portals, like website, mobile app and reservation hot line or contact legitimate sales agents to book flights and ancillary services.
