New Traffic Law Regulations: Lane Restrictions for Buses, Taxis, and Delivery Motorcycles

Effective May 22, 2024, new traffic regulations will be enforced according to Article No. 49 of the Traffic Law. These regulations introduce specific lane usage restrictions aimed at improving road safety and traffic flow.

As per the Ministry's press statement, buses carrying more than 25 passengers, taxis, limousines, and delivery motorcycles are prohibited from using the left lane on roads with three or more lanes in each direction. Delivery motorcycle riders must use the right lane on all roads, and lane changes for these riders are allowed only at least 300 meters before intersections.

Non-compliance with these regulations will result in legal action. Violators will be referred to the Public Prosecution for further procedures, in accordance with Article 95 of the Traffic Law.

These measures are part of ongoing efforts to enhance traffic management and ensure road safety for all users.
