Misuse of National Warning System Alert Sounds
Authorities have urged the public to avoid playing or circulating videos and audio recordings that contain the tones of the National Warning System in gatherings, public places, or any other settings. Officials warned that such actions can cause unnecessary panic and disturb public order.
The Ministry of Interior emphasized the importance of responsibility and community awareness, stressing that the misuse of emergency alert sounds, including setting them as mobile ringtones, is strictly prohibited. Such behavior is considered a violation of public safety regulations and exposes offenders to legal accountability.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to preserving societal peace and called on all residents to adhere to the prohibition against misusing the system’s tones. Cases of violation can be reported directly to the authorities by dialing 999.
