The Ministry of Interior (MoI) officials booked 1,143 people in the country for violating preventive and precautionary measures that were enforced in order to curb the further spread of coronavirus (Covid-19). 

Among the booked 1,143 individuals, 789 people were booked for not wearing face masks in the public, 342 individuals were booked for not adhering to the strict social distancing and 12 others were found guilty for not having the Ehteraz application installed. 

All of the violated individuals were referred to the public prosecution. 

The measures are in accordance with the Cabinet decision and Decree Law No. 17 of 1990 on infectious diseases, and the precautionary measures imposed in the region to limit the rapid spreading deadly disease.

The competent authorities urged all the citizens and residents to follow all the preventive measures kept in place to make sure their safety and the safety of other individuals in the country are assured.
