Ministry of Interior drone ban
Ministry of Interior Statement: The Security authorities have arrested (5) persons violating the Ministry of -Interior's Statute issued by virtue of the recent developments in our country that prohibit any use or operation of unmanned aircraft (commonly known as drones). As per established procedures in this matter, the competent authorities have been referred to them.
The Interior Ministry also emphasizes that all types of drones, regardless of their type, size or technology, are banned from being used, operated or launched across the Kingdom until further notice to ensure people's safety and to preserve the community. Until further notice, these directives apply to citizens, residents and visitors as well as governmental and semi-governmental authorities, companies and institutions.
The Ministry also states that any use, attempt at operation, or facilitation of the operation of these drones constitutes a distinct violation that warrants legal accountability, confirming its intention not to abstain from pursuing those who breach this resolution by taking relevant legal actions.
